History: The single-seat L 33 Sólo is a new addition to the blaník family of two-seat gliders, the legendary L 13 Blaník, and the new L 23 Super Blaník. Over 3,000 Blaníks have been manufactured, and the L 33 Sólo follows in their footsteps. As its name suggests, the L33 Sólo is the glider of choice for transitioning to solo flight in a single-seat glider. The all- metal L 33 Sólo offers many significant features in utility and durability when, unlike fiberglass gliders, it can be left tied down outside year-round always ready for immediate take off, whenever you want to soar.
Notes:

The L 33 Sólo is a very easy and safe glider to fly, as most everyone who has soared it has testified. The high ratings the L 33 Sólo has received are a result of sophisticated design development, incorporating the latest in soaring technology. Pilots who received their initial dual instruction in L 13 Blaník or L 23 Super Blaník will find the transition to the L 33 Sólo quite natural. Many students have soloed in the L 33 Sólo already, including young teenagers.

L 33 Sólo is intended for advance training and performance soaring. Its exceptionally low maintenance costs and long service life are among its many advantages. To a pilot with elementary instruction completed, the L 33 Sólo will open the world of cross-country soaring, and provide years of enjoyment.

The L 33 Sólo’s all-metal construction will assure you a life-time of durability, so well proven by the two-seat Blaníks, with which the L 33 Sólo shares the same construction technology. One can expect excellent maintenance and ease of operation - in short - the L 33 Sólo is a better choice than any fiberglass glider in its class.

The L 33 Sólo is an all-metal, single seat, cantilever mid-high wing sailplane with semi-monocoque fuselage, fixed gear and cantilever T-tail surfaces. The ailerons and elevator are of metal sandwich construction; the rudder is fabric-covered. The L 33 Sólo is manufactured according to JAR 22 requirements in the Utility Category and is Type Certified in the Czech Republic, in the U.S.A., in the U.K., in Germany, in Hungary, in Argentina, in Finland and in Canada.
